On April 16 the state enterprise “Antonov” presented the newest Ukrainian military transport aircraft AN-178.

Transportnik AN-178 is designed to replace the obsolete AN-26, AN-32 and AN-72. The presentation was attended by the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko. Construction of the first instance of the aircraft began in 2013, and the plane itself was developed in 2010 as a replacement for outdated models of the AN. The plane is created on the basis of passenger AN-158, a recently launched into production.
